Drawn Together (Spanish title: Enfrentados: Marfil) is a 2026 romantic thriller directed by Óscar Pedraza. It is an adaptation of the bestselling novel Marfil by Mercedes Ron (the first book in her Enfrentados duology) and stars Ester Expósito alongside Hugo Diego Garcia.

Plot Overview

  • The Kidnapping: Marfil Cortés (Ester Expósito) is a fiercely independent young heiress living a luxurious life in New York City. Her world shatters when she is suddenly abducted under mysterious circumstances. Although she is eventually released, the trauma leaves her family shaken, and her father—a powerful and wealthy businessman—fears for her safety.

  • Enter the Bodyguard: To ensure her protection, Marfil’s father hires Sebastián Moore (Hugo Diego Garcia), a brooding, highly skilled, and enigmatic personal bodyguard. Initially, Marfil resents the constant supervision and loss of freedom, while Sebastián attempts to keep a strict professional distance.

  • The Attraction: Forced to spend time cooped up together, friction slowly turns into intense mutual attraction. Sebastián begins training Marfil in self-defense, fostering trust and intimacy between them.

  • Secrets & Escalating Danger: As the threat against Marfil forces them to relocate back to Spain, deep secrets surface. It becomes clear that Marfil’s father is involved in shady, illegal dealings, bringing dangerous enemies like a ruthless mobster after the Cortés family. At the same time, Sebastián is hiding a secretive past and motives of his own.

  • The Cliffhanger Ending: As Marfil and Sebastián finally yield to their feelings and navigate the lethal web of betrayals surrounding her family, the film ends on a dramatic cliffhanger—leaving their fate and love story hanging in the balance ahead of the sequel (Ébano / Drawn Apart).
